He was born on August 27, 1933, in Mitchellville, to Russell and Helen Drottz. Dale was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Dale is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia; sons, Rex Drottz and Bruce (Debby) Drottz; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sister, Ruth (Jim) Wilson; as well as other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Verl Drottz, and his sister, Mary Homer. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2018, at Mitchellville United Methodist Church, 200 2nd Street NW in Mitchellville with burial at Mitchellville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the church one hour prior to service time. Memorial contributions may be directed to Mitchellville United Methodist Church in loving memory of Dale.
