He was born Dec 5, 1924, in Tecumseh, KS, the son of Martin S and Charlotte Elizabeth "Lottie" Price Pressgrove. He was baptized and remained a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church. He was married to Betty Lou Thompson on Jan 19, 1946, in Topeka, KS, and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past January, with friends at the Melrose Senior Center. He was born Dec 5, 1924, in Tecumseh, KS, the son of Martin S and Charlotte Elizabeth "Lottie" Price Pressgrove. He was baptized and remained a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church. He was married to Betty Lou Thompson on Jan 19, 1946, in Topeka, KS, and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past January, with friends at the Melrose Senior Center. Dale was survived by his wife Betty; two sons, Paul Pressgrove of Belen and Tom Pressgrove of Magdalena, NM; one daughter, Doris Dale Zipperer of Fort Collins, CO; three sisters, Alma Proudfit of Garden City, KS; Mina Teagarden of Speedway, IN; and Alice Odom of Homer, LA; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. One son, Kenneth Pressgrove, preceded him in death, as did his parents and one brother, Martin Pressgrove. His lifetime career and love was farming and cattle ranching. In his early years of farming, he also ran a custom combine crew for wheat harvesting. He covered a large territory from Texas to Montana for more than 20 years. During this time, he established lifelong friendships and continued to visit them, even after he retired from custom combining, every summer until Aug 1995. His love for open land, nature and people lead him to a different off-road highway during all of his travels. His favorite expression was, "How can we be lost? We're on vacation." His final journey is taking him down God's country road.
