Dale was born March 10, 1931, to Noa J. and Ida Preheim Mueller near Freeman, South Dakota. Dale graduated from Freeman Academy in 1949, and from Freeman Junior College in 1951, and then worked at the First National Bank in Freeman for two years. Dale was born March 10, 1931, to Noa J. and Ida Preheim Mueller near Freeman, South Dakota. Dale graduated from Freeman Academy in 1949, and from Freeman Junior College in 1951, and then worked at the First National Bank in Freeman for two years. Dale graduated from Bethel College, Newton, Kansas in 1955. He then moved to Akron, Pennsylvania, to work for the Mennonite Central Committee, and also lived in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In 1960, he moved to Maryland and worked as an accountant for the Mennonite Health Center, Brook Lane, Smithsburg, Maryland. In 1964, he started his own tax accounting business at the Professional Arts Bldg., Public Square, Hagerstown, Maryland, and worked there for 47 years until 2011. Dale loved to travel throughout the United States and Canada, and had a special interest in art, music, and sports. Dale is survived by his sweetheart and loving wife of 30 years, Sharon Rider Mueller. They were married June 21, 1986, at Hebron Mennonite Church, Hagerstown, Maryland. Surviving family members include his sister, Phyllis Reimer, and sisters-in-law, Marchyne Clement, LeEsta Moran, and Cynthia Rider, three nephews Charles Reimer, Tim Reimer, and John Moran, and a niece Shari Moran Harrison, five greatnephews, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-inlaw, Raymond Reimer, and aunts and uncles. Dale was especially fond of his beloved pets, Boston Terriers, Opal, Jasper, and Topaz, who brought him much happiness and laughter. A celebration of Dale's life will be held at Hebron Mennonite Church on Saturday afternoon January 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. A further memorial service is planned in the spring around Easter time at Salem Mennonite Church in Freeman, South Dakota. One of Dale's favorite memories was being with friends at the Grand Canyon and watching the complete darkness turn to brilliant sunrise on Easter Morning.
