Description	:	Dale Richard McLeland, 75, of Arbela, died Friday, March 1, 2019 at Scotland County Care Center in Memphis. He was born the son of Craig and Marguerite (Jones) McLeland on September 8, 1943 in Scotland County. The family moved to Cantril when he was three years old, and that his where he attended elementary school. He was born the son of Craig and Marguerite (Jones) McLeland on September 8, 1943 in Scotland County. The family moved to Cantril when he was three years old, and that his where he attended elementary school. The McLelands returned to Scotland County in 1957, and Dale graduated from Memphis High School in 1961. He was a member of the FFA during his time at MHS. Dale attended Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, OK. He spent most of his working years as a mechanic and welder. Dale was employed at Mid-States in Milton for over 25 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, muzzle loading and camping at black powder events during his younger days. Dale was a former member of the Indian Creek Muzzleloaders and a life-member of the NRA. He enjoyed gardening, collecting knives, cookbooks, cast-iron cookware and John Deere memorabilia. He was a former member of the Fox Valley Two-Cylinder Club and was a currently a member of the Arbela Town Council where he had served several terms on the board. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Marion Aylward. He is survived by his sister, Joanne Aylward, of Arbela; nephew, Michael Aylward of Arbela; niece, Ellen Aylward, of Memphis; and numerous cousins.
