He was born April 11, 1923, near New London, the son of Glenn and Alma Skipton Foss. Mr foss was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, St. Charles and had served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He was a designer engineer for the McDonald Aircraft, St. Louis. A 1941 graduate of New London High School, he was a graduate of the University of Wichita. Surviving are his mother, Galesburg, IL; one brother, John, Salem; two sisters, Mrs. Joann Johnson, Rio IL and Mrs. Phyllis Fenton, Mankato, Minn; seven nieces and nephews. His father preceded him in death. Funeral services will be Friday, July 19, at 2 pm at the Beatly Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant. The Rev. Charles TWeed Pastor of the Congregational-Universalist Church, will officiate with interment in Forest Home Cemetery. Friends may call as they desire at the funeral home. A memorial has been established for the donor's choice.
