Description	:	Dale Petersen, 64, of Fredericksburg, Iowa, passed away early Friday morning, January 8, 2021 at Linn Haven Rehab and Healthcare in New Hampton, Iowa. Dale was born March 10, 1956, in Waverly, Iowa, the son of Arthur and Elnora (Luhring) Petersen. Following birth, Dale contracted pneumonia and was baptized while still in the hospital. He was confirmed on April 4, 1971, at St. John’s Lutheran Church – Western Douglas. Dale attended Tripoli Community School and graduated in 1974. On August 21, 1982, Dale was united to Jane Oberheu at Grace Lutheran Church in Tripoli. Dale and Jane were lifelong farmers and raised their family in the Bremer/Chickasaw County area. Farming was not only Dale’s occupation but also his passion! Dale was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Tripoli. He enjoyed spending time with family and attending Kim and Brandon’s sporting events. He also liked camping, attending tractor pulls, hunting, plowing snow, watching old westerns, hanging out at the local Farmer’s Coop, and of course, farming. Dale is survived by his wife, Jane; two children, Kim, (Josh) Meyer of Vinton, Iowa and son, Brandon, (Julie) Petersen of Fredericksburg; four grandchildren, Jonah and Hattie Meyer and Remi and Kane Petersen; two brothers, Duane (Ilene) Petersen of Sumner, and Donald (Julie) Petersen of Frederika; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Dean. Private funeral services will be held and livestreamed on Kaiser-Corson Facebook page at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Public graveside interment services will be at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 in Grace Lutheran Cemetery, Tripoli. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for later designation. Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly is assisting the family.
