Read More	Dale Wilbur Hosier, the son of Ira and Anna (Mersch) Hosier, was born near Giltner, Nebraska, on July 4, 1922, and died at his home in Giltner, Nebraska, on December 14, 1991, at the age of 69 years, 5 months, and 10 days. He grew up in the Giltner area, where he received his education. He farmed all his adult life in Hamilton County, with the exception of 3 years from 1948 to 1951, when he worked at the Sims Service Station in Aurora. He also drove a propane delivery truck in 1952, for Glenn's Appliance in Aurora. Through the years he also worked at various jobs during the off-farming season, including Aurora Co-op, Giltner Co-op, and Hamilton County Farms. In 1973, he moved into Giltner. On October 23, 1943, he was united in marriage to Donna Stevenson, at Mankato, Kansas. Dale was a member of the Giltner United Methodist Church. He enjoyed all aspects of farming, and raising cattle in particular. He maintained a sizeable herd until failing health prevented him from continuing. He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Donna of Giltner; one son Steven of Giltner; 2 daughters, Patricia Omel of Fairbury, and Jean Gustafson of York; one brother, Don of Aurora; 8 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
