He was born April 30, 1934, in Crossville, the son of the late Bates Bertram and Daisy (Burgess) Bertram. Dallas worked as a sawyer in the logging industry and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Lewis of Crossville; grandchildren, Bridgette Lewis, Erica Lewis and Judd Lewis, all of Crossville; great-grandchild, Levi Lewis of Crossville; sister, Ethel Blaylock of Sparta, Mary Lewis and Effie Crawford, both of Crossville. He was born April 30, 1934, in Crossville, the son of the late Bates Bertram and Daisy (Burgess) Bertram. Dallas worked as a sawyer in the logging industry and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Lewis of Crossville; grandchildren, Bridgette Lewis, Erica Lewis and Judd Lewis, all of Crossville; great-grandchild, Levi Lewis of Crossville; sister, Ethel Blaylock of Sparta, Mary Lewis and Effie Crawford, both of Crossville. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Howard Bertram, Roy Bertram, Grady Bertram, Bill Bertram, Carlos Bertram and Thomas Bertram; and sister, Irma Parry. Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home Feb. 11, with Bro. Joey Campbell officiating. Interment was in Bolin Cemetery. Pallbearers for Dallas included Bobby Hale, Allen Hale, Wayne Hale, Donald Hale, Tanner Hale and Kyle Blaylock. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. (www.bilbreyfh.com) was in charge of the arrangements.
