He was raised by his grandparents, Dennis and Bonnie Taylor. Dallas graduated from Council Grove High School in 2005. He attended Manhattan Christian College for one year then transferred to Cowley Community College. He enjoyed all sports; basketball was his favorite and cross country ran a close second. Read More	Dallas Lee Taylor, 22 of Council Grove, KS, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, May 18, 2009. He was born May 17, 1987, to Scott and Ralinda (Meritt) Taylor in Emporia, KS. He was raised by his grandparents, Dennis and Bonnie Taylor. Dallas graduated from Council Grove High School in 2005. He attended Manhattan Christian College for one year then transferred to Cowley Community College. He enjoyed all sports; basketball was his favorite and cross country ran a close second. He was a gifted artist; he enjoyed fishing, camping and sitting around the campfire with his friends. He was a hero to Chase and Chance. He was an extremely strong believer in the Lord and loved his family immensely. He was preceded in death by his father, Scott B. Taylor in 2005; great grandparents, Ralph Taylor, Wilma Taylor, Elmer Read, and Charlene Read; great-grandmother Ruth Stone and cousin Taylor Hartman. Survivors include his grandparents Dennis and Bonnie Taylor; twin brother Dustin Taylor and girl friend Heather Browning; aunt Denise (Taylor) Hartman and husband Chris; cousins Ashley, Chase, and Chance Hartman all of Council Grove, KS; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at Council Grove Christian Church, with Pastor John Messer officiating. Burial will follow at Sunny Slope Cemetery. Dallas will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Flint Hills Chapel on Sunday from 1-5 pm and Monday from 1-8 pm with a visitation being held Monday from 6-8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dallas Memorial Fund and sent to Farmers and Drovers Bank, PO Box C, Council Grove, KS, 66846. Arrangements are under the direction of Penwell Gabel Flint Hills Chapel.
