Description	:	Dallas Sander, 83, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Friday, September 28, 2012, at his home. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at 10:30 AM at St John’s Lutheran Church (12.5 miles north) with Rev. Brad Birtell officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4 PM to 8 PM at Gass Haney Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday with a family prayer service at 10:15 AM. Dallas was born on December 3, 1928 to Paul and Mabel (Wendt) Sander on their Platte County farm. He attended Boheet Grade School and graduated from Creston High School in 1945. On June 11, 1950, he was united in marriage to Esther Anson at the Presbyterian Church in Creston. He farmed for many years in addition to being a salesman for many different agricultural products. In 1977 he earned his real estate license and worked for Buss Auction and Realty, a job which he held until the time of his death. His favorite hobby was trap shooting.
