Elks Lodge #2517 in Osage Beach, MO. He served 6 years as financial secretary for U.A.W. Local #74. He warmed out hearts with his love and generosity to his family and friends. Surviving are his wife; a son, Michael Mitchell of Riverside, CA and a daughter, Julie(Ty)Margenthaler of Cape Girardeau, MO; three grandchildren Nicole, Brice and Nate. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Christine; an infant son, Jeffery and a brother, Dick Mitchell. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Thursday at the Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Mel Kendall officiating. Burial will be at Shaul Cemetery. Visitation begins after 11 am Wednesday at the funeral home with the family present from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Food Pantry of the donor's choice.
