Chuck Wells officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.He was born June 11, 1928 in Orangeburg County, SC; the son of the late David Daniel Stillinger and the late Lila Mae Walling Stillinger. Chuck Wells officiating directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.He was born June 11, 1928 in Orangeburg County, SC; the son of the late David Daniel Stillinger and the late Lila Mae Walling Stillinger. He was a member of Two Mile Swamp Baptist Church. Mr. Athell served 15 years in the National Guard and worked for many years with the Orangeburg County Sherriff's Department Posse and was retired from G & G Furniture Store. He was the widower of the late Barbara Blackmon Stillinger.Survivors include 2 sons; Mark and Gail Stillinger of Neeses; Daniel and Susan Stillinger of Meadow, GA; 1 daughter; Donna and Bobby Rabon of Conway; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.Friends may call at his residence and at the funeral home.Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, May 27, 2016 at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society; 128 Stonemark Lane; Columbia, SC 29210 or to Regency Hospice of Orangeburg; PO Box 823; Orangeburg, SC 29116.The Family would like to thank Magnolias of Santee for their special care and support.
