Daniel Jordan Munn, born January 1851 was the youngest of five children born to Ansel Munn and Euphemia Forrest in Trafalgar Township, Halton County, Ontario, Canada - present day Oakville, Halton, Ontario, Canada. Ansel Munn, the father, died in 1852. Euphemia subsequently married twice and moved, first to Manitoba and then to Saskatchewan where she died in 1896. No burial records for her. Daniel Jordan Munn, born January 1851 was the youngest of five children born to Ansel Munn and Euphemia Forrest in Trafalgar Township, Halton County, Ontario, Canada - present day Oakville, Halton, Ontario, Canada. Ansel Munn, the father, died in 1852. Euphemia subsequently married twice and moved, first to Manitoba and then to Saskatchewan where she died in 1896. No burial records for her. It has been difficult to trace the children. The names Daniel and Jordan, together or individually are very popular names in the Post and Munn families of Trafalgar Township. Many are buried in Munn's Cemetery there. Daniel Jordan Munn, son of Ansel and Euphemia, can be found in Canadian censuses 1852 and 1861. Perhaps he is the Daniel Munns, age 17, apprentice, found in Orangeville Village, Wellington Centre, Ontario on the 1871 Canadian census. Next finding seems to be 1880 in Andover, Ohio. Eventually an immigration record for Daniel F. Munn arriving in Ashtabula as early as 1875 has been located. When I first discovered this burial, I was thrown, not so much by the middle initial, but by the birth location being given as Oakville, Pennsylvania. Thanks to "Calcat" for turning over maintenance of this memorial to me, so birth location now changed to Ontario. Anyone with further knowledge of this individual, please share!
