Description	:	Daniel J. Senger was the son of Joel M Senger 1800–1888 and Mary Catherine Beck b. 1798 d. 1832, Joel's first wife. On Nov. 7, 1844 Daniel married Elizabeth Bayer in Franklin Co., Pa. From this union four children were born. They were David B Senger 1849–1908; Mary Magdalene Senger 1851–1920; Joel Senger 1855–1937 and George Senger. Daniel and Elizabeth (Bayer) Senger moved to Iowa in 1865 and settled near the city of Cedar Rapids, where Daniel carried on his trade as a shoemaker for several years. Elizabeth died in Cedar Rapids in December 1887, it is not certain where she is buried, after which he settled in Lincoln, Ogle, Illinois where he died on 27 MAY 1901.
