Dan was born to A.J. and Jolene (Closter) Brozek on May 6, 1955 in Pleasanton, California. At the age of one, he moved with his family to a farm in Antelope County, Nebraska. Read More	Daniel Joseph "Dan" Brozek, of Brunswick, Nebraska, died Friday, February 26, 2010 at Lewis & Clark Specialty Hospital, Yankton, South Dakota. Dan was born to A.J. and Jolene (Closter) Brozek on May 6, 1955 in Pleasanton, California. At the age of one, he moved with his family to a farm in Antelope County, Nebraska. He attended Rural District School #115, Plainview Elementary and Plainview High School, graduating in 1973. In 1975, he was one of the first graduates from Northeast Technical Schools Farm and Ranch Management Program. On December 6, 1975, he married Denise Marsh of Brunswick, NE. Dan and Denise moved to a farm northwest of Brunswick after marriage and it was there that he farmed with his father and brothers, raised three children and continued to live until his death. Dan was a lifetime member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church of Brunswick, a congregation in which his grandparents were early members. In addition, he was a member of the Antelope County Corn Growers Association, the Norfolk Astronomy Club and an honorary member of the Creighton FFA. Dan will also be remembered as a talented amateur photographer and astronomer, an enthusiastic fan of stock car and NASCAR racing and a late-blooming lover of RVing and travel. He eagerly followed activities and accomplishments of his children, nieces and nephews and he had a particularly special place in his heart for his granddaughter, Josephine. The many family and friends he leaves behind will remember Dan as a humble, soft-spoken, extraordinarily committed to his work, perpetually eager to learn and even more eager to share his knowledge. Dan is survived by beloved wife, Denise Brozek of Brunswick, Nebraska; son, Jason Brozek and wife Melissa of Appleton, Wisconsin; daughter, Kimberly Brozek of Omaha, Nebraska; son, Kyle Brozek of Brunswick, Nebraska; granddaughter, Josephine; parents; A.J. and Jolene of Plainview, Nebraska; brothers, Lance Brozek and wife Diane of Plainview, Nebraska, Kelven Brozek and wife Nancy of Norfolk, Nebraska and Kirk Brozek and wife Shelley of Plainview, Nebraska; uncles, Dick Closter and wife Bette of LeMars, Iowa and Bruce Closter and wife Gloria of Austin, Texas; father-in-law, Eldon Marsh of Brunswick, Nebraska; sisters-in-law, Gayle Marsh and husband Rich Halvorson of San Rafael, California and Krista Marsh and husband Kurt Hunsinger of Denver, Colorado; brother-in law, Kirby Marsh and wife Barb of Norfolk, Nebraska and a host of family and friends. Dan is preceded in death by: grandparents and mother-in-law.
