Description	:	Daniel McCuaig, a resident of Monticello since 1853, passed away at the family home corner of Bluff and Washington streets, Friday afternoon at 3:45 following a stroke of paralysis which he suffered Wednesday evening and from which he never regained consciousness. Mr. McCuaig was born in Greenock, Scotland, February 26, 1840 and came with his parents, Kenneth and Mary McCuaig to the united States when he was five years of age, settling near Mari- etta, Ohio, where he resided until 1853 when he came to Monticello for residence. Read More	Daniel McCuaig, a resident of Monticello since 1853, passed away at the family home corner of Bluff and Washington streets, Friday afternoon at 3:45 following a stroke of paralysis which he suffered Wednesday evening and from which he never regained consciousness. Mr. McCuaig was born in Greenock, Scotland, February 26, 1840 and came with his parents, Kenneth and Mary McCuaig to the united States when he was five years of age, settling near Mari- etta, Ohio, where he resided until 1853 when he came to Monticello for residence. He was married October 21, 1868, to Miss Amanda Davis and to this union were born five children, two sons dying in infancy. The three daughters, together with the widow, survive and are: Mrs. Charles S. Lowe, residing northwest of this city; Mrs. J. M. Price of Wabash and Miss Julia E. McCuaig, residing at home. Mr. and Mrs. McCuaig were planning to celebrate the fifty-fifth anniversary of their marriage at their home here yesterday, when he was stricken. Mr. McCnaig was an undertaker and conducted a business for himself for many years. He was also a painter and was engaged in this occupation for a long time. The funeral was held from the home Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. H. T. Wilson of the Presbyterian church officiating and the I 0 OF lodge in charge of the service.
