Description	:	Dan was the son of Patrick McCarville and Mary Jane Flanagan. He did not marry. Oc 7, 1952 - Jefferson Bee - Funeral services for Michael McCarville were held at Roekwll City Sept. 30th at St. Francis Church with Rev. William Bucholz, St. Francis pastor, officiating. Pallbearers were Clem O'Brien, Dick Wiess, Paul Wagner, Cliff McCarville, Tom Deluhery and Joe McCarville. Interment was in Rosehill Cemetery at Rockwell City. O'Brien of Jefferson, passed away September 20, at her home where he has been since early in May when he became seriously ill. He was the son of Patrick and Mary McCarville, pioneer residents of Calhoun County, where he was born in Twin Lakes Twp. on January 6, 1878, and has resided near Rockwell City on a farm ever since until five years ago when he retired to Rockwell City, where he made his home at the Brewer hotel. He never married. He was the ninth son of his family, six brothers having preceded him in death, namey, Denis, Thomas, John, Peter, Frank, and Patrick! Surviving are James of Ft. Dodge; B.F. of Moorland; and the only sister, Mrs. O'Brien of Jefferson. Rosary was held at the Slininger Funeral Home Tuesday evening at 8:00 p.m. with Father Zimmermann in charge. Those from a distance who attended the funeral were Maurice O'Brien of Des Moines; Ellen McCarville, Paul and Margaret Mathews of Audubon; Mrs. Earl Amsden of Laurens; Mrs. Francis Schultze of Sac City; Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Albrecht of Pocahontas; Julius Albrecht of Clare and Mrs. Jas. Ledden of Duncombe.
