Description	:	ORRINGTON - Daniel Baker, 53, Orrington, took his last, breath at home after a long illness. He was born in Machias, son of Theodore W. and Francena (Gove) Baker. Dan saw the positive in everything good or bad. He always offered the best advice. Dan grew up in Jonesboro. where he enjoyed working as a commercial fisherman. Among many things, hunting, golfing, shooting the crap, jerry rigging, movies, wildlife and friends were a few favorites, but family was everything. Read More	ORRINGTON - Daniel Baker, 53, Orrington, took his last, breath at home after a long illness. He was born in Machias, son of Theodore W. and Francena (Gove) Baker. Dan saw the positive in everything good or bad. He always offered the best advice. Dan grew up in Jonesboro. where he enjoyed working as a commercial fisherman. Among many things, hunting, golfing, shooting the crap, jerry rigging, movies, wildlife and friends were a few favorites, but family was everything. Upon moving to Orrington 16 years ago, Dan became a full-time equipment operator/ truck driver. Surviving in addition to his wife of 36 years, Lisa (Tafs) Baker, are his son, Michael and wife, Esma, of Provincetown, Mass.; son, Kyle and wife, Nicole, of Bangor; daughter, Kristen and husband, Casey, of Bangor; a brother, Robert and wife, Nadine, of Jonesboro; a sister, Tonja and husband, Albert; a brother, Mike of Alabama; a handful of grandkids; and many nieces and nephews. Sunday, August 8, at 2 p.m. there will be a graveside service at Looks Cemetery on Looks Point Rd., Jonesboro. Following the service, there will be a reception at the Jonesboro Union Church Community Center. The family invites family and friends to tell stories about Dan and enjoy some refreshments.
