Description	:	DANIEL T. FOSTER Daniel T. Foster, son of Thomas and Parthena J. Foster, early pioneers of Iowa, was born on a farm near Ashland, November 19, 1849, and died at the home of W. O. Garrett in Maryville, Mo., Friday, July 22, 1927. Mr. Foster was united in marriage to Amy Sophia Nimocks on February 15, 1872. To this union five children were born. Garrett in Maryville, Mo., Friday, July 22, 1927. Mr. Foster was united in marriage to Amy Sophia Nimocks on February 15, 1872. To this union five children were born. Nellie of Maryville, Mo.; Mamie, who died in June, 1913; Millard of Pueblo, Colo.; Arthur of Des Moines, and William, who died in infancy.Mr. Foster grew up and spent his life in the community near Ashland. After the death of his wife, March 31, 1905, he made his home with his son, Arthur, until six years ago, when he went to live with his daughter, Mrs. W. O. Garrett, in Maryville, Mo., where he spent his remaining days. Until he was confined to his bed about a year ago, Mr. Foster made frequent trips back to Eldon and Ashland, where he spent his summers with his brother, Scott, and still remained a familiar figure to the community. He was an active worker in the Methodist Episcopal church during his lifetime. Besides his daughter and two sons he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Emma L. McCarroll of Ottumwa, Mrs. Belle Springer of Farmington, and two brothers, Will of Agency, and Scott R. of Eldon, and six grandchildren, Arthur and Gertrude Garrett of Maryville, Ruth and Donald of near Ashland, Harry Foster of Chicago, and Raymond Foster of Pueblo, Colo. The funeral service was conducted by the Rev. H. C. Druse of the Methodist church at Ashland Sunday, July 24, at 3 p.m. Music was furnished by the Methodist choir from Eldon---Contributed. of newspaper.
