Description	:	CSA Son of James D. Middleton (1791-Bef 1885) and Nancy McLaurin (1792-1863). Grandson of Daniel McLaurin and Mary Catherine Cameron, both of whom immigrated from Scotland in 1790. Daniel and his wife, Mary Catherine, settled in that part of North Carolina which would later become the town of Laurinburg and the seat of Scotland County. D.W. was a soldier in the Confederate Army during the U.S. Civil War. He served with Company F of the 18th North Carolina, a unit raised in June 1861 in Richmond County, and designated as the "Scotch Boys."	CSA Son of James D.
