Description	:	Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 29th at 10:30 a.m. in St. Agnes Catholic Church, Kenmare, for Dardie Larsen, age 53, who passed away in the Minot hospital on Sunday, Oct. 25th following a lengthy period of declining health. The recitation of Rosary will be held this evening at 7:30 p.m. at St. Agnes and burial will follow the service Thursday in St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery. Dardanella Wellcome was born in Grand Forks on May 23, 1928 to Clarence and Gladys Wellcome. She travelled in her earlier years throughout the country, working at various jobs as a cashier and waitress. She returned to the area and met Carl Larsen, whom she married on August 1950 at Bowbells. They moved to Kenmare where she was active in many organizations, including being Fast President of the VFW Auxiliary of Kenmare and Past President of the State VFW Auxiliary. She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and Past President of St. Agnes Altar Society. Dardie was an avid sports fan and was one of the original organizers of the Junior Bowling program in Kenmare. She taught bowling the Juniors for many years. Survivors include her husband; two sons. Roger of Glasgow, Mt., and Michael at home; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (LaVone) Mongeon of Minot and Mrs. James (Mary Lee) Wenzlick of the Minot Air Force Base: six grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Denise McNaulty of Appleton, Wisc. Reviewal will be at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Kenmare today from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and Thursday morning at the church prior to Mass. From the Kenmare News.
