Mr. Egan passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015, in Nacogdoches. He was born Oct. 1, 1941, in Leesville, La., to Leo and Sylvia Evans Egan. Darius was a resident of Vernon Parish, Evans and Burr Ferry, La., and later Cushing and Garrison, Texas. He worked as a Borden Milk Driver from Shreveport to Lake Charles, a sawmill worker and builder in Burr Ferry, Floriene and Cushing. He had also worked for Nacogdoches County. Darius loved fishing and hunting and his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, the Rev. Philip Lanese Egan and Paul Rouvel Egan; and gransons, Darius McGlothlin and Garrett McWilliams. Those who remain to honor his life include his wife, Sandra Clark Egan of Garrison, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law, Dani L. Egan (Deanna) of Cushing, Texas, and Lee Egan (D'Anna) of Nacogdoches, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Tami Egan Harris (Jim) of New Caney, Texas, Debra Egan Nelson (Glen) of Cushing, Texas, Pami Egan (Sammye) of New Albany, Ind., Melissa Egan Livingston (Brad) of Nacogdoches, Texas, Sallie Egan Guerino (Tony) of Houston, Texas, and Anita Egan Dawson (John) of Nacogdoches, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jeane Egan Brittian (W.H. Sr.) of Burr Ferry, La.; grandchildren, Daric Egan, Dedan Egan, Dustin McWilliams, Matthew Nelson, Holly Nelson, Paul Nelson, Patricia Nelms-Walker, Jessy Egan, Amy Egan, Blake Livingston, Madelyn Livingston, Grant Livingston, Caroline Guerino, Alexandra Guerino, Karleigh Dawson and Kohl Dawson; and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers include John Dawson, Glen Nelson, Tony Guerino, Joe Bob Moore, Jessy Egan and Daric Egan. Honorary pallbearers include Ricky Egan, Dedan Egan, Loyd Clark and Dustin McWilliams.
