Funeral services will be 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Yankton with Reverend David Gunderson officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Yankton. Darlene "Dollie" Mae Bohlman was born January 1, 1936, in Olivet, South Dakota, to Garhart and Mae (Wipf) Koster. Dollie grew up on the family farm and the family later moved to Yankton when she was in high school. She attended Yankton High School where she met and later married Reinhold Bohlman on February 26, 1954, in Utica, South Dakota. Four children were born to this union. They lived in Pickstown, South Dakota while Rein worked on the dam. They moved to Yankton and Dollie began working at Kelly's Cove as a waitress. She also later worked as an aide at the Human Services Center and will always be remembered as the doughnut maker at Sunshine Foods. She finished her working career as a cook for Ability Building Services, where she found her passion for baking cookies. Dollie was a member at St. John's Lutheran Church in Yankton and loved playing pinochle with her girlfriends and with the Over 50's group at St. John's. She could always be found with a book and enjoyed traveling to Hawaii for her grandson's wedding and later for her daughter's wedding. She loved her family and especially loved spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her two daughters: Carmen (John) Pex of Chugiak, Alaska; and Carol (Mike) Tweedy of Yankton; son, Russ Bohlman of Centre Hall, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren: Jamie Coffee, Jason Tweedy, Amber Roy, Jeremy Tweedy, Lindsay Williamson, Justine Bohlman; and Sam Herd; six great grandchildren: Toryn, Maddox, Lauren, Kaden, Calvin, and Saoirse. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reinhold on November 19, 2001; infant daughter, Debra; and two brothers, Duane and Jerry Koster. - Wintz & Ray Funeral Home
