She met Lyle Elmer David and they were married on September 26, 1954, in Oakdale, NE. Darlene was a loving Mother, Homemaker, and Housewife. She worked at McIntosh Jewelry, and also in Neligh, at the Antelope County, NE. Courthouse. She loved to crochet, paint pictures, and water ski with her Sister-in-laws, Delores and Doris. Darlene is preceded in death by: parents. Darlene is survived by: husband, Lyle David of Burwell, NE.; sons; Billy David of Burwell, NE., Tim David and wife Mary, of Norfolk, NE. and Terry David and wife Jayne, of Bassett, NE.; 4 Grandchildren; 7 Great Grandchildren and brother, Mike Vollbrecht and wife Mary, of Lincoln, NE. Burial was in the Chambers Cemetery, Chambers, NE.∼ Darlene David (Died November 24, 2012) Funeral Services for Darlene David, age 77, of Burwell, formerly of Chambers and O'Neill, will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 27th, at the United Methodist Church in Chambers with burial in the Chambers Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, November 26th, from 5-8 P.M. at Biglin's Mortuary in O'Neill, with a 7:30 P.M. Prayer Service. She passed away early Saturday morning, November 24th, at her home in Burwell. She is survived by her husband, Lyle, of Burwell, 3 Sons; Billy David of Burwell, Tim David and wife Mary, of Norfolk, NE, and Terry David and wife Jayne, of Bassett, NE, 4 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Brother, Mike Vollbrecht and wife Mary, of Lincoln, NE. Darlene Violet Vollbrecht was born on April 15, 1935, in Battle Creek, NE, to Bruno and Viola (Tichota) Vollbrecht. She graduated from Neligh High School. She met Lyle Elmer David and they were married on September 26, 1954, in Oakdale, NE. Darlene was a loving Mother, Homemaker, and Housewife. She worked at McIntosh Jewelry, and also at the Neligh Courthouse. She loved to crochet, paint pictures, and water ski with her 2 Sister in laws, Delores and Doris. She is preceded in death by her parents. Pastor Duane Waddle will officiate.
