Description	:	Darline L. Carpenter, 77, a longtime Wenatchee Valley resident, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, loved by everyone who knew her, lost a diligent battle to cancer on Friday morning, Oct. 13, 2000 at Parkside Care Center. Her life was her family and the last seven years were devoted to her great-grandson, Cody, who could light up her world each day she took care of him. Carpenter, 77, a longtime Wenatchee Valley resident, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, loved by everyone who knew her, lost a diligent battle to cancer on Friday morning, Oct. 13, 2000 at Parkside Care Center. Her life was her family and the last seven years were devoted to her great-grandson, Cody, who could light up her world each day she took care of him. She will be missed so very much by her family and friends. She loved to knit, crochet and read. She spent many years working for Northern Fruit, Peoples and Sears. The family would like to thank her grandchildren, Lori and Mike for the many hours they have devoted to taking such good care of their grandmother. Lori and her grandmother were best of friends. She is survived by her husband, Bill, East Wenatchee; her son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Su Carpenter, Coeur d'Alene, ID; her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Jim Webber, Bothell; grandson, Chase Carpenter; three granddaughters and spouses, Mega Carpenter, Lisa Clymens and Brent Rhodes, Lori and Mike Fasching; one great-grandson, Cody Fasching. She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Leona Peck and one sister. Funeral services will be held at the Eastmont Baptist Church, 330 N. Lyle, East Wenatchee Monday afternoon, Oct. 16, 2000 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Bob Baurer officiating. Concluding services and interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Those who wish may make memorials to Eastmont Baptist Church Growth Fund. Visitation will be Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home and Monday afternoon, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the church. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
