Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church in Albion, NE with Rev. Michael Kern officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion. Darline Mae Zipf, daughter of Clyde and Annie (Hultman) Lamoree, was born May 16, 1927 at Osceola, NE. She was baptized on September 15, 1928 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Osceola, NE and confirmed on April 26, 1942 at Augustana Evangelical Lutheran Church in Genoa, NE. She attended grade school at Nance County School Districts 38 and 30 and graduated from Genoa High School in 1945. On July 28, 1945, Darline was united in marriage to Robert C. Zipf at Belleville, KS. They farmed and lived near Boone, NE from1949-1962, when they moved to Madison, NE and operated the Gambles store. In 1969, they moved to Albion, NE where they owned and operated the Zipf Variety Store until retiring in 1983. Darline loved music, and in her retirement performed at music contests with her husband and spent many afternoons entertaining residents at nursing homes in Albion and the surrounding area. In 2004, Darline and Robert moved to Columbus, NE. It was there Darline passed away at her home on February 18, 2015. Darline was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church and Women’s Group in Albion. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing music, sewing and quilting. She is survived by her husband Robert Zipf of Columbus, NE; three children: Connie Heisler of Fremont, NE; Arlyn (Jill) Zipf of Center Conway, NH; Peggy (Jerry) Seamann of Hastings, NE; a son-in-law: Rick Cooper of Omaha, NE; 11 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; along with many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Annie Lamoree, a brother Loren Lamoree, a sister Lois Bruscino, a daughter June Cooper, and a son Randy Zipf.
