Description	:	Darlyne Adell Yates died October 22, 2011 at the Residency Care Center. She was born May 29, 1927, in Alliance, NE to German from Russia parents, Andrew and Mary (Rehn) Wambolt. She was raised in Yoder, Wyoming and graduated from Yoder High School. She then attended Scottsbluff Community College. Darlyne married Donald Lee Yates on April 23, 1948, and had three daughters, Lanna Lee (Lewis), Linda Doughty (Steve Doughty) and LouAnn Janicek-Rhode (Jesse Rhode). Read More	Darlyne Adell Yates died October 22, 2011 at the Residency Care Center. She was born May 29, 1927, in Alliance, NE to German from Russia parents, Andrew and Mary (Rehn) Wambolt. She was raised in Yoder, Wyoming and graduated from Yoder High School. She then attended Scottsbluff Community College. Darlyne married Donald Lee Yates on April 23, 1948, and had three daughters, Lanna Lee (Lewis), Linda Doughty (Steve Doughty) and LouAnn Janicek-Rhode (Jesse Rhode). She was a loving wife and mother and enjoyed making wonderful meals for her family. In 1957 she and Don "Unk" moved to Camp Kiwanis and managed the camp for the next 17 years, providing a great place to raise a family. Many fond memories were made, including chasing out trespassers, selling Christmas trees, roller skating parties, large family gatherings, cleaning cabins and tolerating several floods. In 1968 she began working as a bookkeeper for Tom's Sanitary Supply, she retired in 1978. After retiring she and Unk moved to Indian Hills where they cared for her parents for several years. During those years she developed a love for painting pictures and crafts. After the passing of her parents, she occupied her time by volunteering at Heritage Health Care center. After Unks' death in 2000, she moved to the Residency in Scottsbluff. She is survived by her daughters and their families, which include 8 grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle and Ty Lewis, Chuck and Don Doughty, Nic, Josh and Kim Janicek , 14 great grandchildren, her brother, Elvin Wambolt and three sister-in-laws, Marge Yates, Velma Malone and Carmie Kirkman. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Gordon Lewis, 2 brothers Ed and Leo Wambolt and 2 sisters, Viola Helzer and Eleanor Fabrizus. At Darlyne's request, a casual attire graveside service will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at West Lawn Cemetery, Gering Ne.
