He was raised and educated in the area of his birth, graduating from Eagle Grove High School in 1937. Darrel was united in marriage to Dorothy Hendrickson in Jewell, Iowa on March 9, 1941, together they farmed for over 60 years, retiring in 2002. Read More	WOOLSTOCK — Darrel Maynard Frohling, the son of George and Hazel (Bolger) Frohling, was born September 23, 1918, in Webster City, Iowa. He was raised and educated in the area of his birth, graduating from Eagle Grove High School in 1937. Darrel was united in marriage to Dorothy Hendrickson in Jewell, Iowa on March 9, 1941, together they farmed for over 60 years, retiring in 2002. Darrel was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Webster City. Darrel passed away on Monday, February 25, 2008, at his home, at the age of 89 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother in infancy; brother, John Frohling and wife Violet and a sister-in-law, Joan Frohling. Darrel is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Woolstock; son Douglas Frohling of Woolstock; his daughter Harriett Griese and husband Richard of Prior Lake, Minnesota; grandson, Ryan Griese of Richfield, Minnesota and his fiancee Becky Alt of Farmington, Minnesota, brother Dale of Sun City, AZ and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 1, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at the Faith United Methodist Church in Webster City with Rev. Mike Willer officiating. Visitation will be Friday, February 29 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove. Burial will be in the French Church Cemetery east of Woolstock. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
