He was preceded in death by his mother, Arlyne Morris; sister, Star; brothers, Leland, Leroy and Timothy; a son, Mark; brother-in-law, Lloyd Reid; a grandson, Nathaniel Brewer; and special grandparents. Darrell was born Feb. 4, 1947, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Arlyne Varner and Clifford Mather. He was later adopted by Delvin Morris. Darrell served with the United States Army in Germany. For 33 years, he worked for Quaker Oats, where he had many friends and volunteered much of his time to Quaker projects. Darrell would also go to different schools where he would read and help students with their activities. He was a member of the Toddville Free Methodist Church. A member of the Center Point Garden Club which he thoroughly enjoyed, his passion was working with the flowers and plants. He also enjoyed all wildlife, especially his birds in his yard, his fish and turtles. A loving husband with a big heart, his children and grandchildren were his greatest gifts in life. Darrell will be sorely missed by one and all who knew and loved him.
