Description	:	Darrell Luke, 80, of Craig died Sunday, March 27, 1994 at his home after a long illness. Services will be 2 p.m. today at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Struble with the Rev. Tim Bockelman and the Rev. Dale George concelebrating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at LeMars under the direction of the Feuerstein Funeral Home, LeMars. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at LeMars under the direction of the Feuerstein Funeral Home, LeMars. Mr. Luken was born February 14, 1914 in rural LeMars, the son of John & Emma (Montagne) Luken. He grew up west of LeMars and graduated from Central High School. He moved to Westfield where he owned and operated a gas and service station. He served with the Army in Europe during World War II. On December 10, 1946 he married Addie Burris in Elko, NV. The couple made their home in Brunsville where he operated a plaster and drywall business. In 1971 they loved to Craig, where they owned and operated Luken’s Tavern and he continued in the drywall business. Mr. Luke was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Struble and the Heeren-McHale-Wilken Post 724, American Legion of Brunsville. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Greg (Susan) of Slidell, LA and Mike (Lori) of Sioux Center; two daughters, Sherry VanDonge of Austin, TX and Linda Luken of Phoenix, AZ; a sister, Ione Reese of Brunsville; and 7 grandchildren.
