Description	:	Darrell Eugene Morris Sr., better known to his friends as "Digger", served his community as a member of the Osceola Volunteer Fire Department for almost 50 years. As a devoted fireman, he held various positions in the department, and was a member of the Iowa Firemen's Association. Darrell was born February 21, 1936 in Hopeville, Iowa to Chris Edward Morris and Dorothy Evelyn (Haller) Morris. He passed from this life on April 20, 2008 at the Clarke County Hospital in Osceola, Iowa at 72 years of age. On February 21, 1957, Darrell married Bettie Smith of Murray. The couple settled in Osceola and raised two children: Darrell Morris Jr. of Osceola and Kathy Wilson of Elkhart. Darrell was a loving grandfather to Brandy Wilson, engaged to Jack Goldenberg of Westfield, New Jersey; Kyle James Eugene Wilson of Osceola; Jennifer Nicole Cipriani, married to Eric Cipriani of Osceola; and Eric Wesley Morris of Osceola. He was also a great-grandfather to Jade Elisabeth Cipriani. Darrell was a devoted son-in-law to Irene Smith of Murray. Darrell was one of seven children and is survived by brother, Marvin Morris and wife Cherie of Des Moines; brother, Charles Morris and wife Connie of Indianola; sister, Deloris Reasoner and husband Don of Osceola; sister, Helen German of New London; sister, Gerry Putney of Indianola; and sister, Toni German of Des Moines. Darrell is preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Dorothy; wife, Bettie; father-in-law, Everett Smith; and grandson, Tyler Wilson.
