Read More	Aberdeen American News (SD) - Wednesday, September 8, 2004 DARYL LAMBERT Aberdeen --- Daryl Lambert, 85, of 1521 East Melgaard Road, Aberdeen, S.D., and formerly of Frankfort, died Monday, Sept. 6, 2004, at his home. His funeral will be Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, at 10 a.m. at Thelen Funeral Home in Redfield. Pastor Don Peck will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-8 p.m. with the family present from 5-7 p.m. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Frankfort with full military rites. Daryl was born Oct. 25, 1918, to Matt and Elizabeth (Rueschenberg) Lambert near Frankfort. He graduated from Frankfort High School in 1936. He played for dances and farmed with his father, after he graduated, for four years. Daryl married Lucille Olson on May 5, 1941. Daryl worked on the farm for a few years before moving to California. He served in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant from 1942 to 1945 during World War II in the Southern Pacific Theatre. In the fall of 1946, Daryl started farming near Turton and farmed there until 1972, when he purchased a farm near Frankfort. Daryl retired in 1982 and moved into Frankfort. His wife Lucille died in August of 1992. In September of 1995, he married Cozette Smalley Stoddard at Columbia and they lived in Frankfort and later in Aberdeen. Daryl was on the county FHA board, ASCS committeeman for Clifton Township and the Frankfort Community Center Board. He enjoyed woodworking and reading. Daryl is survived by his wife, Cozette Lambert of Aberdeen, S.D.; twin daughters: Darcille (Steve) Mueller of Big Stone City, S.D., Deborah (Gene) Trapp of Milbank, S.D.; and one son Dane (Donna) of Frankfort, S.D.; three stepsons: Patrick (Debbie) Stoddard of Libby, Mont., Ronald (Jackie) Stoddard of Stirum, N.D., and Kendall (Shirley) Stoddard of Frederick, S.D.; two stepdaughters: Cynthia (Wayne) Parris of Lake Matthews, Calif., and Tamara (Bruce) Emery of Luverne, N.D.; nine grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
