David retired last year after 30 years of service as a Postal Carrier. He was a graduate of Lineville High School in 1974. He had his own mechanic shop, and loved camping and boating. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Pamela Jones; brother, Dennis Shields; and nephew Grant Allen Shields. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Kathy of the home; 3 daughters, Kalli (Kalen) Miller, Laurel (Ryan) Owens, and Shelby (Jacob) Hickman; grandchildren, Kinzley Miller and Easton and Ellis Owens; brothers, Jim (Judy) Shields, Randy (Anna Mae) Shields, Jack (Diane) Shields, and Richard (Brenda) Shields; sisters, Rebecca Shields and Lisa (Mark) Davis.
