Description	:	David Alfred Carlson was born January 31, at Hjo Grefbeck, Sweden, and died at his home south of Brady, May 4, 1936, at the age of 85 years, 3 months, and 3 days. At the age of 27 he was united in marriage to Maria Petterson, who preceeded him in death on November 3, 1930, at the age of 72. To this union twelve children where born, twin girls dying in infancy and ten children surviving. At the age of 27 he was united in marriage to Maria Petterson, who preceeded him in death on November 3, 1930, at the age of 72. Those surviving are five boys, Axel, Warner, Carl, Harry and William, all shom reside in or near Brady, with the exception of Warner who lives at Laramie, Wyoming; five daughters, Mrs. E. R. Maisch of Lincoln, Nebr.; Mrs C. R. Cochran of Sutherland, Nebr.; Mrs. J. D. Lewis of Maxwell, Nebr., and Mrs. R. L. Craig and Mrs. Hilda Perkins, both of Brady, Nebr. Thirty-six grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren, and one brother, Oscar, who remains in Sweden, besides other relatives and friends. They immigrated to America and arrived at North Platte on May 12, 1882. They settled near Brady and lived in Lincoln county until the time of their deaths. In early life Mr. Carlson united with the Lutheran Church and attended services out in the community south of Brady. Mr. Carlson being a ling time resident of this community leaves many friends who with the relatives mourn his passing. Funeral services were held at the Brady M. E. Church on May 7, at 2:30 p.m., Rev. R. E. Daughetee, offciating. Internment was made in Gaslin cemetery. The Vindicator Brady, Nebraska Thusday, May 14, 1936
