Description	:	David was born on August 5, 1947 to Walter and Althea Jonas in Sioux City, Iowa, where he attended Heelan High School. He graduated from Briar Cliff College in 1969 with a degree in Psychology. He married Marilyn Katherine Topf, his college sweetheart in 1969. Read More	David was born on August 5, 1947 to Walter and Althea Jonas in Sioux City, Iowa, where he attended Heelan High School. He graduated from Briar Cliff College in 1969 with a degree in Psychology. He married Marilyn Katherine Topf, his college sweetheart in 1969. David became the Executive Director of Junior Achievement in Sioux City, Iowa, followed by Executive director of the Chamber of Commerce in Iowa Falls and Helena Montana before starting his 28 year career with Northrup in Southern California. in 1981, he received his Masters of Business Management from Claremont Graduate University, and moved from community relations to financial management within the company. David was successful in his career but also found time for volunteering. He dedicated years to guiding teens along with his sons through Boy Scouts and various team sports. He was often involved in church and school functions. Upon retirement he dedicated more time to the church and community. He spent several years with the Tuesday Guys supporting church maintenance. He was an avid supporter of Right to Life, working with the Knights of Columbus to begin 40 days for Life at Saint Joseph Parish. He volunteered tax assistance through Catholic Charities and helped serve meals through Saint Joseph's Outreach program. He was involved with the parish medical missions to Patzun, Guatemala, and made two trips to Guatemala to work with the people there. After receiving his cancer diagnosis, he became involved with Reel Recovery, a fly fishing cancer support group for men. Seeing the need, he also stared a caner support group at Saint Joseph Catholic Parish. David's primary passion in life was to provide for and protect his wife and family. He was a caregiver to them in his own unique way through prayer and love. David died peacefully at his home in Mansfield, Texas at the age of 67. David is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughters, Krista and her partner Karyn, Kerri Masse and her husband Patrick, and their children, Brayden, Weston, Kieran; sons, David Ryan and his wife Erin, Michael and his wife Jenny; four brothers and six sisters; Patricia Gibson of College Station, Texas, Richard (Bonnie) Jonas of Sioux City, Marilyn "Jean" (Michael) O'Connor of Sioux City, Betty (Jim) Laddusaw of Spencer, Iowa, Robert (Dawn) Jonas of Rolling Hills, Calif., Judy (Bob) Yeager of Rogers, Minn., William Jonas of Fairfax, Va., Mary Jo Goebel of Kansas City, Mo., Alan (Regina) Jonas of Troy, Mich., and Karen (Ralph) Hecht of Merrill, Iowa
