Description	:	David Brian Zanders, age 56 years, passed away on June 19, 2014. He was born October 15, 1957, in Hastings, Nebraska, the son of Donner and Patricia Zanders. David grew up mainly in Nebraska and after high school he chose to follow in his father’s footsteps and went to work for BNSF. He then joined the Navy and was stationed in San Diego. David met and married Stephanie and became a father to her daughter Alicia, and later Hannah. David became a financial advisor which led him to live in Thailand for a few years before settling in Prescott,... Read More	David Brian Zanders, age 56 years, passed away on June 19, 2014. He was born October 15, 1957, in Hastings, Nebraska, the son of Donner and Patricia Zanders. David grew up mainly in Nebraska and after high school he chose to follow in his father’s footsteps and went to work for BNSF. He then joined the Navy and was stationed in San Diego. David met and married Stephanie and became a father to her daughter Alicia, and later Hannah. David became a financial advisor which led him to live in Thailand for a few years before settling in Prescott, Arizona. David loved music of all kinds. He had a great sense of humor, and he loved to tell or hear a great joke. He was true optimist and made a daily phone call to his mother with a positive story. He was a true Husker fan and followed them through the years. David is survived by: his two girls, Alicia and Hannah; ex-wife, Stephanie; sister, Bonnie Lehl; and mother, Pat Zanders. Memorial service on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Butherus Maser and Love funeral home, Lincoln. Burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Weeping Water.
