Description	:	On Sunday afternoon, July 25, 1943, after visiting friends, and a relative in the hospital, Carl Griffin, aged 54, had gone to his room in the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. F. Hart, 705 South Hayne Street, to relax and rest for a while, and it was there in his reclining chair, unobserved by human eyes, that God permitted his immortal spirit to be transferred from its earthly tabernacle to its eternal home. Carl's earthly pilgrimage came to an end in the manner he had ever endeavored to live - without bother to anyone. Carl's very being was courtesy. He was ready always to help either stranger or friend, yet ever avoiding assistance. Carl was a Mason, a Shriner, and while not a member of any church, he was a christian and appreciated the finer better things of life. Due to heart and other ailments for many years he had suffered much, yet remained cheerful and smiling. He loved children, and his one purpose in life was o help those dearest to his heart.
