Rep. 7 Nov. 1935 David Craig David Craig, son of David and Eliza Craig, was born April 1, 1855, near Luray, Mo., and departed this life Oct. 20, 1935, at the age of 80 years, 6 months and 19 days. On Oct. 22, 1884, he was united in marriage to Frances Prall who preceded him in death July 12, 1893. To this union was born one son, Floyd, who also preceded him in death Oct. 16, 1910. On March 11, 1897, he was united in marriage with Margaret Wright. She died July 22, 1902. Then again on March 3, 1904, he was united in marriage with Elizabaeth Webster, who with two children, Stanley, at home, and Ethel Strait of near Pittsburg. A step-daughter, Mrs. Anna McIntosh, of near Mt. Sterling; a grandson, Stanley Wilbur Strait, four step-grandchildren, Kenneth, Harold, Craig and Ilene Poling; one sister, Mrs. Meck Allen; a host of nieces and nephews are left to mourn. He moved to the farm with his father's family near Mt. Sterling when a young man and lived there during all his married life until he moved to Keosauqua in 1923. Being of a quiet disposition he cared very little for the social side of life, but was very much interested in doing a kind deed for a neighbor and providing the good things of life for the ones near and dear to him. Funeral services were held at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon in charge of the Rev. C.A. Boulton, assisted by Rev. M.E. Hayes.
