Description	:	David E. Laberge, 89, of Phillips Street, Attleboro, a retired electrician and Attleboro resident since 1945, passed away peacefully at home on August 3, 2010. He was the beloved husband of Irene L. (Plante) Laberge, with whom he celebrated sixty nine years of marriage. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on February 23, 1921, he was a son of the late David and Eugenie (Girard) Laberge. Read More	David E. Laberge, 89, of Phillips Street, Attleboro, a retired electrician and Attleboro resident since 1945, passed away peacefully at home on August 3, 2010. He was the beloved husband of Irene L. (Plante) Laberge, with whom he celebrated sixty nine years of marriage. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on February 23, 1921, he was a son of the late David and Eugenie (Girard) Laberge. David was raised and educated in Pawtucket, and served his country during WWII as a member of the US Army. He was a communicant of St. Stephen's Church in Attleboro. David worked as an electrician for twenty two years at Engelhard in Plainville, prior to retiring. After retirement he worked at T.J. Holmes Company Inc., of Chartley, from 1983-1993. David enjoyed building model wagons and stagecoaches. He also was an avid gardener and landscaper. A carpenter by trade before becoming an electrician, David built his own home on Phillips Street in 1948, and has resided there since. In addition to his wife Irene, David is survived by three daughters; Joan A. Schlenker and her husband Roy of South Attleboro, Joyce E. Richards and her husband Terry of Van, Texas, and Ann R. O'Brien and her husband Thomas of Chepachet. Also survived four grandchildren; Christine Stewart, Randy Schlenker, Michael Richards, and Jennifer Bodziony, and four great-grandchildren; Jarred Bodziony, Logan Bodziony, Meredith Richards, and Lauren Richards. He was the brother of the late Theresa Fortin, Rose Roberts, Cecile St. George, and Marie St. George. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 10 AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Coyle Drive, Seekonk. Mr. Laberge will be laid to rest in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Attleboro. Published in Legacy on Aug. 4, 2010.
