"Bucky" Overman Jr., 65, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005, in Aurora, Colo. He was born July 29, 1940, to David E. and Dorothy (Foster) Overman. He graduated from Oswego High School in 1958 and Pittsburg State University in 1962. After graduation he went to work for the General Accounting Office, working there for 18 years. He then worked for the Commerce Department for 20 years. He moved to Aurora, Colo., and worked in Denver until illness forced him to retire and go on dialysis. He also served for a time with the National Guard. Survivors include a brother, Gordon L. Overman and his wife, Joyce, of Oswego; a niece, Charity Overman of Wichita; two nephews, David Overman of Oswego and Ronald Schertz of Bernice, Okla.; and several aunts and uncles and a number of cousins. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Karen Overman and Shirley Cousatt. A memorial service was held in Aurora. The local service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Murdock Funeral Home in Oswego with burial in Friendship Cemetery near Hallowell. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Obituary, Parsons Sun, September 17, 2005.
