Description	:	David Eugene Coddington, 69, of Martinsburg, WV, died Thursday, December 25, 2014, at Hospice of the Panhandle, Kearneysville, WV. Born March 22, 1945, in Friendsville, MD, he was the son of Jean (Humberson) Kirby, Martinsburg, WV and the late Eugene Coddington. He was also preceded in death by his wives, Linda (Moore) Coddington and Janet (Smith) Coddington and his grandmother, Annetta Grove, who raised him. Mr. Coddington worked for the National Weather Service and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, stationed in Panama. He was a member of the American Legion. Read More	David Eugene Coddington, 69, of Martinsburg, WV, died Thursday, December 25, 2014, at Hospice of the Panhandle, Kearneysville, WV. Born March 22, 1945, in Friendsville, MD, he was the son of Jean (Humberson) Kirby, Martinsburg, WV and the late Eugene Coddington. He was also preceded in death by his wives, Linda (Moore) Coddington and Janet (Smith) Coddington and his grandmother, Annetta Grove, who raised him. Mr. Coddington worked for the National Weather Service and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, stationed in Panama. He was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by two daughters, his stepmother, two brothers, one sister, and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Ave., Friendsville, on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Peter Suwak officiating. Interment will be in the Steele Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be accorded by Grantsville Post 214, American Legion. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.newmanfuneralhomes.com.
