Description	:	"David F. Pribil, 71 years, of Fremont, NE died Thursday, February 19, 2015 at his home. David was born November 26, 1943 in O'Neill, NE to Francis and Carol (Schollmeyer) Pribil. He grew up in O'Neill and was a 1963 graduate of St. Mary's Academy in O'Neill. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War from Sept. 24, 1963 until Sept. 22, 1967. David worked as a machinist at the former Magnus Metals in Fremont from 1968 until his retirement in 2009. David worked as a machinist at the former Magnus Metals in Fremont from 1968 until his retirement in 2009. David enjoyed traveling, especially to Estes Park, CO, celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in O’Neill and watching Nebraska Football at his local VFW or sports bar. He was an avid reader and subscribed to many science, physics, woodworking and outer space journals. He was a member of Arlington V.F.W. Post #8332, United Steel Worker Union and MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) in Omaha. He volunteered with the Avenue of Flags in Fremont for many years. He is survived by sisters, Deloris Pribil of Bennington, NE and Jean and husband, Herman Edwards of San Antonio, Texas; brothers, Richard Pribil and wife, Louise of Fremont, Robert Pribil, Paul and wife, Ming Pribil and Patrick and wife, Monica Pribil all of Lincoln, NE, Michael and wife, Cindy Pribil of Atkinson, NE and Donald and wife, Carolyn Pribil of Baltimore, MD; many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Frederick Pribil; sisters, Rita Pribil and Mary Ann Pribil; and nephew, William Drieling. Memorial service, 11 AM, Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. The Rev. Leland Foreman will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 AM to 11AM at the funeral home. Military honors conducted by members of V.F.W. Post #854 and American Legion Post #20 of Fremont at the funeral home following services. Memorials may be given to the V.F.W. Post #8332 of Arlington.
