He had been in the hospital 10 days. Foos was born June 25, 1889, in Russia, and came to the United States with his parents in 1906. They settled in Garden City, KS. He married Amelia Rau in Garden City Jan. 25, 1912. The same year the couple moved to Sugar City, ID. Mr. and Mrs. Foos came to the Huntley Project in 1914, and moved to Shepherd, MT., two years ago. He was a member of St. Paul's German Lutheran Church of Billings, MT. Surviving are the widow; six daughters, Esther, Frieda and Lillian, all of Shepherd, Mrs. Henry Harmon of Billings, Mrs. John Keil of Worden, and Mrs. John Ostermiller of Laurel, MT.; two sons, Raymond and William of Shepherd; three sisters, Mrs. Jake Besel of Hardin, MT., Mrs. George Karst of Ballantine, and Mrs. George; two brothers, Andrew of Worden and George Foos of Tacoma, WA., and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at Settergren;s Chapel at 1 p.m. Tuesday and at the Ballantine Congregational Church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. George L. Sprattler, pastor of St. Paul's German Lutheran Church, in charge. Burial will be in the Pleasantview Cemetery in Ballantine, MT.
