Description	:	David Frank Rawdon, 94, of Watertown went home to be with the Lord, Monday, March 2, 2015, at Jenkins Living Center. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Foursquare Church Family Worship Center, with Steve Ferguson officiating. Visitation will be Friday, March 6, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Wight, Comes & Sogn Funeral Chapel, 1111 4th St. NE. Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery. David Frank Rawdon was born April 16, 1920, in Watertown, South Dakota to Clark and Alta (Beman) Rawdon. He attended Watertown High School. He joined the United States Navy after high school and served on a destroyer in the Pacific during World War II. David married Ilene Hurlbert on August 17, 1946 in Clark, South Dakota. He owned and operated Rawdon Radiator Incorporated, along with his son, Cliff Rawdon. David was a founding member of the Foursquare Gospel Church in Watertown. David had many interests. He loved music--from bluegrass to a violin concerto to the old gospel hymns. He enjoyed playing his harmonica every chance he got. Riding his Harley was one of his great joys, which he continued through his 80's. He also restored motorcycles and old cars. Dave could build cupboards, fix a clock, carve a bass fiddle, tune a car, or write a poem. Truly he was a man of many talents. David is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ilene; his children: Rita Armstrong (Jim) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Cliff Rawdon (Loralee) of Watertown, and Dennis Rawdon (Diane) of Chandler, Arizona; 5 grandchildren: Sherri Friskey, Candi Thomson, David Lee Rawdon, Eric Rawdon, and Renae Rawdon; 10 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren; his sister, Agnes Poppen of North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Esther Harris and Sylvia Magnuson; and four brothers, Teddy, Bobby, Floyd, and Clark. - Wight & Comes Funeral Chapel
