Spence Dies of Long Illness Findlay Carpenter Expires Wednesday Morning; Funeral to Be Friday David George Spence, 73, Findlay carpenter and life-long resident of Hancock county, died at 5:30 o'clock Wednesday morning in the Findlay hospital from anemia. He had been in failing health for two years. Mr. Spence resided at 248 West Foulke avenue. He was born Nov. 3, 1867, in Pleasant township, the son of William and Mary (Bryan) Spence, both deceased. He was married Sept. 4, 1902, to Ina Tresie Aukerman, who survives. Besides his wife, Mr. Spence is survived by nine children, a brother and one grandson. The children are Miss Thelma Ruth Spence, Findlay; Mrs. Olive Grace VanHorn, Deshler; Orland David Spence, Findlay; Perry Taft Spence, Toledo; Mrs. Elsie Pearl Wood, Lorida, Fla.; Clyde Emerson Spence, Findlay; Marion Roosevelt Spence, Honolulu, Hawaii; Mrs. Clara Blanch Gallant, R.F.D. 3, and Miss Ina Isabell Spence, at home. The brother is Thomas Henry Spence, Hoytville, and the grandson is Darrel Leon Gallant. One daughter, Mary Ann Spence, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at _ o'clock Friday afternoon at the Coldren funeral home with Rev. Willis Mills, pastor of the West Foulke Avenue United Brethren Church, officiating. Interment will be in McComb cemetery. The body was taken to Coldren's and will be taken this afternnon to the residence where it will remain until time for the rites.
