Description	:	David Goosen, 92, of Billings, formerly of Glendive, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007. He was born in Marion, S.D., on April 11, 1914, the son of Gerhard and Gertrude Goosen. In 1941, he married Gladys Buller. In 1944, they moved to Montana, where they farmed on Butler Table until 1975. He accepted Christ as his Savior in 1947 and became a very active member of Bethlehem Mennonite Church. Read More	David Goosen, 92, of Billings, formerly of Glendive, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007. He was born in Marion, S.D., on April 11, 1914, the son of Gerhard and Gertrude Goosen. In 1941, he married Gladys Buller. In 1944, they moved to Montana, where they farmed on Butler Table until 1975. He accepted Christ as his Savior in 1947 and became a very active member of Bethlehem Mennonite Church. He was a member of the founding board of the Eastern Montana Bible camp and remained active until his death. Upon retiring from farming, they moved to Glendive, where he worked for the school district as a bus driver. At this time, he became involved in the work of the Gideons and remained a member until his death. In 1989, they moved to Billings and he spent many hours in his workshop, creating heirlooms for his family. David is survived by his loving wife, Gladys, of 65 years. To this union was born eight children: Roger (Sue), Milbank, S.D.; Charlotte (Ron) Buller, Lincoln, Neb.; Lavona (Larry) Brown, Denver; Patty (Willie) Yoder, Billings; Laura (Leonard) Miller, Homer, Alaska. Two daughters and one son preceded him in death. He was blessed by 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. No flowers, please. Memorials can be made to the Gideons or Eastern Montana Bible Camp. Services on Tuesday, Jan. 30, at aith Chapel, Billings. Memorial and burial at Bethlehem Mennonite church in Bloomfield will be held at a later date.
