Description	:	Mr. D. H. Morrison who passed to his rest Tuesday afternoon, September 8, was born June 25, 1831 in Armagh county, province of Ulster, Ireland. He came to America and settled in Pennsylvania at the age of 21 years. On October 18, 1859, Mr. Morrison was married to Margary H. McConnell at Blair's Bills, Juniata County, PA. Read More	Mr. D. H. Morrison who passed to his rest Tuesday afternoon, September 8, was born June 25, 1831 in Armagh county, province of Ulster, Ireland. He came to America and settled in Pennsylvania at the age of 21 years. On October 18, 1859, Mr. Morrison was married to Margary H. McConnell at Blair's Bills, Juniata County, PA. To this union were born eight children, two dying in infancy. He came to Iowa in 1871 and settled in Morning Sun. He entered into business and continued until a few years ago. He was very widely known in the community having been here sl long identified as one of the leading citizens. Mr. D. H. Morrison was ordained as a ruling elder of the Presbyterian church of Morning Sun March 25, 1878, having served continuously for a period of thirty years. He passed to his rest Tuesday afternoon, September 8. The funeral services were held at his late residence Thursday afternoon at 2:30 conducted by Rev. Wm. Mackey. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery.
