Description	:	David H Manship, 79, 923 N. 4th Ave. Died at the Evangelical Hospital Tuesday morning where he had been a patient for the last nine days. He had been in failing health for several years, and had made his home with his daughter Mrs. Elsie Caughey, in Albion for the last six weeks. Born Feb. 28, 1877 in King City, Mo. he was the son of Sylvester and Adelia Bonham Manship. He received his education and grew to manhood in Missouri. On June 28, 1908 he was married in Trent S.D. to Martha Johanson. Shortly after their marriage they came to Iowa and farmed in Story and Marshall Counties until moving to Marshalltown in 1932 where he had since resided. Preceding him in death were his wife last November, seven brothers and sisters. Surviving are three sons and six daughters Mrs Glen Jones, Robert and Omar Manship and Mrs. Harold Collins all of Marshalltown, Mrs. Elsie Caughey of Albion, Mrs. Robert Hubler of Charlestown S.C., Mrs Seth Smith of Licking Mo., David H Manship of Eldora, and Mrs. William Beem of Clemens, also surviving are 22 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers. Services will be held from the Estel-Perrin Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in charge of the Rev. M.E. Parlotz, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church. Burial will be in the Rock Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at Estel-Perrins. From the Marshalltown Times Republican.
