Description	:	David J. Glenn Jr was the son of William and Elizabeth Boyd Glenn. He was the husband of Mary Marintha Stanton Glenn. They were married May 22, 1872. David and Mary Marintha were the parents of Martha Eliza Custis,Samuel Sylvester Stanton, Mary Pamela Jane, Jane McDuffie Preston, and Nancy Glenn. David was a brave soldier of The Confederate States of America. He was a member of the Crowders Creek Ranger Militia in York Co, SC. David was a brave soldier of The Confederate States of America. He was a member of the Crowders Creek Ranger Militia in York Co, SC. He enlisted in the army of the Confederate States of America March 3, 1863, at Wilmington, North Carolina. Pvt. David Johnston Glenn JR. Company H 18th SC Infantry Regiment CSA., under the command of Col. Wallace, Army of Northern Virginia under command of General Robert E. Lee. He was hospitalized from Rubeola at the Episcopal Church Hospital, Williamsburg, Virginia. David was wounded in June of 1864. He was a prisoner of war, and was released on oath and paroled April 9th, 1865. David's nickname was "One-Eyed Dave". David is my UDC Confederate Ancestor. He was a first cousin to David Johnston Glenn Sr. David Sr. also served in Company H 18th SC Infantry Regiment CSA. David Jr's brother Robert was the Captain of Co. H. At the Surrender at Appomattox on the morning of the 9th of April, 1865, the following members of Co. H that were present were: Capt. Robert Henry Glenn. LT. J.F. Johnston, Sergt. W.T. Berry, Corpl. S.D. Simril, Corpl. W.O. Youngblood, Privates, J.S. Clinton, William Davis, S.A. Glenn, D.J. Glenn Jr., C.W. Garrison, T.D. Garrison, S.M. Garrison, J.D. Gaulden, C.H. M. Howe, W.T. Jackson, W.J. Jackson, S.B. McCully, H.H. Montgomery, R.L. Wood, and J.J. Hunter, Sergt. Major. There were others present of Co. H, but were excused on account of wounds, etc. D.J. Glenn, Sr. was wounded a few days before, and J.W. Ferrell was also present with wagon train. signed by J.J. Hunter. This was the "Last Roll Call" of Company H.
