Description	:	SMITH, David L. 68, of South Charleston passed away August 21, 2013 in the Miami Valley Hospital following a brief illness. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on July 11, 1945, the son of the late Guy and Frances Smith. Dave graduated from the first class at Wright State University. He had been a tax preparer for many years and enjoyed managing the family farm. Read More	SMITH, David L. 68, of South Charleston passed away August 21, 2013 in the Miami Valley Hospital following a brief illness. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on July 11, 1945, the son of the late Guy and Frances Smith. Dave graduated from the first class at Wright State University. He had been a tax preparer for many years and enjoyed managing the family farm. He proudly served the Southeastern Local Schools as a school board member and was a big fan of high school girls' basketball. Dave was also a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes. He also enjoyed watching harness racing at Scioto Downs and most especially The Little Brown Jug in Delaware. Along with the unconditional care of his late mother and a few special friends, Dave has had many friends and caregivers over the years. We know he would want to thank them all for the care and kindness they have given him especially the folks at Senior Helpers. At Dave's request there will be no services. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Leesburg. Memorial contributions are requested to People Helping People, Madison Township E.M.S. or the South Charleston United Methodist Church. RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME has been entrusted with the final arrangements. Springfield News-Sun Aug. 22 to Aug. 25, 2013 ********************
